FIGHT AGAINST THE UGANDAN ANTI-HOMOSEXUAL-LAW NOW!

On August 1, 2014, the Constitutional Court nullified the anti-homosexuality law, because it was passed without quorum.

Homosexuality is still criminal under the Ugandan National Constitution (UNC) and the Penal Code Act (PCA). The annulled law is providing for life imprisonment for “aggravated homosexuality” and banns the “promotion of homosexuality”. The law is most likely to be re-tabled in the aftermath of the Constitutional Court's decision. The law which is based on an anti-homosexuality law stemming from the colonial-era, institutionalizes discrimination and violence in society by inciting harassment and brutal actions against LGBTQI people in the country. It neglects their rights and freedom.

We condemn the Parliament of Uganda and Lawmakers for re-tableing the anti-gay bill in Parliament. We demand the Lawmakers of Uganda to change the UNC and PCA! Same Right for LGBTQI's! We appeal Ugandan politicians, cultural and religious leaders to respect human rights instead of misusing their positions to violate the Ugandan Constitution for their own interests. We demand UN President Sam Kutesa as a native of Uganda to put pressure on the Ugandan Government to respect the universal declaration of human rights. We demand german ministers of internal and external affairs to consider this and give asylum and the right to stay to all refugees affected by trans-, inter- and homophobia.

We want to show our strong solidarity with our LGBTQI friends in Uganda and elsewhere worldwide.

We are both Refugees and non Refugees. It's all about solidarity. Together we can make it.

Stop Deportation. Stop Residenzpflicht. Close all Lagers. Stop Frontex and Dublin III.

Bekämpft das ugandische anti-homosexuellen-gesetz, jetzt!

Am 1.08.2014 annulierte das ugandische Verfassungsgericht das Anti-Homosexuellen-Gesetz, da das erforderliche Quorum nicht erreicht worden war.

Homosexualität wird gemäß der Verfassung Ugandas und dem Strafgesetz nach wie vor kriminalisiert. Das vorerst annullierte Gesetz sieht lebenslange Haft für „schwere Fälle“ von Homosexualität vor und verbietet die „Propagierung“ dieser. Das Gesetz wird dem Parlament höchstwahrscheinlich erneut vorgelegt werden. Dieses Gesetz, das auf einem entsprechenden, aus der Kolonialzeit stammenden, Gesetz basiert, institutionalisiert Diskriminierung und Hass in der Gesellschaft indem es zur Verfolgung von- und Brutalität gegen LGBTQI Personen aufhetzt. Es missachtet ihre Rechte und ihre Freiheit.

Wir verurteilen das Parlament und die Gesetzgeber_innen von Uganda dafür, das Anti-Homosexuellen-Gesetz erneut zur Unterzeichnung vorzulegen. Wir fordern sie dazu auf, Ugandas Verfassung und Strafgesetz zu ändern. Gleiche Rechte für LGBTQI's! Wir appellieren an die ugandischen Politiker_innen sowie an die kulturellen und religiösen Führer_innen, die Menschenrechte zu respektieren, anstatt ihre Positionen dazu zu nutzen die Verfassung in ihrem eigen Interesse zu missbrauchen.

Wir fordern den aus Uganda stammenden UN Präsidenten Sam Kutesa auf, Druck auf die ugandische Regierung auszuüben, die Menschenrechtserklärung zu respektieren. Wir fordern die deutschen Innen- und Außenminister_innen auf, diese Umstände anzuerkennen und daher allen von Trans-, Inter- und Homophobie betroffenen Flüchtlingen Asyl sowie Bleiberecht zu gewähren.

Wir wollen unsere nachdrückliche Solidarität mit unseren LGBTQI Freund_innen in Uganda und weltweit zeigen!

Wir sind sowohl Refugees als auch Non-Refugees. Solidarität ist, was zählt! Zusammen können wir es schaffen!
