Film screening – xart splitta in collabortaion with TranScreen Amsterdam Transgender Film Festival 2013
Eliza Steinbock and Maja Mirkovic, core members of TranScreen, will shortly introduce the film program specially prepared for xart splitta and moderate the discussion afterward. How does film address interdependent discrimination in ways that counter invisible stigma? They will frame one possible way to view these films: as ways towards recognizing yourself to be in a community through having a shared “feeling”. These films have genres ranging from music video, to animation, experimental, narrative, and documentary. What kind of affinities are formed, and which feelings bind?
